The Rugby League World Cup kicked off with a bang last week, and the marquee clashes continue as the Kangaroos host France at Canberra Stadium on Friday night.
The Kangaroos accounted for old rivals England 18-4 in Melbourne to open the tournament, and they’ll fancy their chances against a France side that surprisingly went down 29-18 to Lebanon in their opening game. Australia’s favouritism is reflected in the betting odds – with the Kangaroos the shortest of short-priced favourites.
Coach Mal Meninga is expected to ring in the changes, with James Maloney set to partner Michael Morgan in the halves, as incumbent halfback Cooper Cronk sorts out the final details of his impending club move to the Roosters.
