The team behind Australia’s premier sports and race betting provider, UBET, are flexing their muscles for a good cause, following the announcement of the business’ first official charity partnership – Mates4Mates.
Mates4Mates, an initiative of the RSL (Qld Branch), have launched their inaugural Mates Month campaign which has already seen hundreds of supporters, including Australian cricket star Ryan Harris, rugby league legend Darren Lockyer, Broncos player Josh McGuire and TV personality Julia Morris, dropping to give ‘30 seconds for Mates’.
Supporters are encouraged to take the challenge to do as many push-ups in 30 seconds as they can and then challenge others to beat them or make a donation.
To kick off the partnership, UBET General Manager – Brand, Penny Glasson got the biceps burning with a brilliant effort and threw the challenge out to the competition, inviting TAB chief, David Attenborough, and Sportsbet boss, Cormac Barry, to beat her effort or cough up.
“We couldn’t be prouder to be joining with Mates4Mates, our official charity partner, to raise much-needed funds to support current and former serving members of the Australian Defence Force through Mates Month,” Ms Glasson said.
“It’s no secret that the wagering market is highly competitive and there’s already been some friendly banter between the brands since we launched UBET last month.”
“So we’re throwing down the gauntlet and asking David and Cormac to give their best for 30 seconds and push up or cash out!”
UBET, the wagering subsidiary of TattsGroup and formally known as TattsBet, announced the partnership as part of their re-brand which launched nationally in April.
