Gingerboy, a six-year-old gelding from the flying Darren Weir stable, has been heavily backed to win a jumps race at Sandown today.
UBET went live with a market on the Jack Dow Memorial Hurdle yesterday and was immediately hit with a plunge.
Gingerboy opened a $2.70 favourite, but was crunched into $1.90 and then again into $1.50.
“We fielded multiple bets on him around the $3,500 mark as soon as the odds went up,” said UBET Media Manager Nick Curry, adding “and the same customers have come back today and doubled down, including one bet of $8,000 at $1.75.”
“The way they're betting on him, the race must have been run yesterday."
