UBET punters are buttering up to Azkadellia for the Doomben 10,000 this weekend, even though the champion mare is drawn wide.
After coming up with barrier 10 today, the Autumn Carnival Group 1 winner eased from $2.90 to $3.00, but remains a warm favourite for the sprint feature.
“She accounted for more than 50% of the all-in hold and has been just as popular since the release of the final fields,” said UBET spokesperson Nick Curry.
“She’s a get back runner, has tactical speed in spades and I suspect punters won’t be perturbed by her draw.”
Delectation – who finished 8th with flashing lights in the BTC Cup a fortnight ago – and Fell Swoop – 5th in the same race – were the big barrier winners.
After grabbing gate 2, Delectation was $5.50 into $4.80, while Fell Swoop claimed barrier 1 and was $6.00 into $4.80.
UBET is offering Money Back up to $50 if your horse runs 2nd, 3rd or 4th in the Doomben 10,000.
